Description of Service GPT Watermark-Remover is a React-based web application that allows users to paste text (up to 2000 characters), detect invisible ASCII/Unicode "watermark" characters, highlight them, remove them, and copy the cleaned text to their clipboard. No user accounts or data storage are required.

3. User Conduct and Content

  • You retain all rights to text you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your text for the sole purpose of providing the Service.
  • You agree not to submit illegal, infringing, harmful, or offensive content.
  • You are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws governing your use of the Service.

4. Intellectual Property

  • All Service code, design, graphics, and trademarks are owned by The CodeCave GmbH and protected by copyright and other laws.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service except as expressly permitted.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • We make no representations about the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of the results.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, The CodeCave GmbH and its affiliates, officers, and employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
  • Our total aggregate liability in connection with these Terms will not exceed €100.

7. Indemnification You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The CodeCave GmbH and its personnel from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

8. Payment and Refund Policy

  • All purchases, subscriptions, and transactions made through the Service are final and non-refundable.
  • Once a payment is processed, no refunds, credits, or chargebacks will be issued under any circumstances.
  • By making a purchase, you acknowledge and accept this non-refundable policy.

9. Detection Methodology and Accuracy

  • Pure Text Scan (Aggressive Approach): Our text-based watermark detection scans for ASCII and Unicode characters that could potentially be used as watermarks or for formatting purposes. Because many ASCII characters serve dual purposes (both legitimate formatting and potential watermarking), this method may flag false positives. We prioritize transparency and show you everything that could potentially be a watermark, allowing you to make informed decisions about what to remove.

  • Document File Upload (Less Aggressive Approach): For users seeking a more refined experience, we offer document file upload (.docx, .pages) which allows all commonly used formatting ASCII characters and focuses specifically on detecting actual watermarks. This method provides better accuracy by understanding document structure and differentiating between legitimate formatting and watermarking characters.

  • You acknowledge that the detection tools are provided for informational purposes and that you are responsible for reviewing flagged content before making removal decisions.

10. Privacy and Data

  • We do not log or store your input text, IP addresses, or any personal data.

11. Changes to Terms We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any dispute arising under or related in any way to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bielefeld.
